Thieving
Introduction:Thieving is an important skill in Runescape. It involves Pick Pocketing, Dis-arming Traps, Lock Picking, and stealing items from stalls. All forms of thieving give you exp. points.
Pick Pocketing:There are many monsters in Runescape that you can pickpocket. Below is a detailed tutorial on Pick Locking.

How To Pick Pocket Monsters |
1. Right click on the game character and select "Pick Pocket" (Not all monsters can be pick pocketed).

3. If you are not a high enough level or you failed the enemy will see you and engage in combat. If you succeed you will have gained thieving exp and gp/item.

2. You will attempt to pick pocket the character.

Picking Locks:
There will be some doors in the game that are locked and require you to pick them.

How To Pick Locks |
1. Right click on the locked door and select the option "Pick lock".

3. If you are not a high enough level or you fail, the door will not open. If you succeed you will automatically walk through the door.

2. You will attempt to pick the lock.
